Practical Activities for Developing Leaders in 3 Key Capabilities

In today’s economy, leaders now face a radically altered work environment. To ensure the success of their organizations, they need to be more creative and move their staff forward.

But they’re facing some steep challenges. For example, according to a Towers and Perrin report, 72 percent of companies have reduced their workforce in response to the recession. This has led to a 24 percent increase in “actively disengaged” workers in companies where layoffs have occurred (Watson Wyatt’s Employee Engagement Index).

As a result, one of the biggest concerns for employers is the number of workers who plan to change jobs as soon as the economy improves (ASTD).

To retain staff and lead teams that are innovative and engaged, leaders need well-honed skills, up-to-date knowledge, and the ability to learn in the face of change.

Leaders need to master  three key capabilities today in order to achieve excellence:

1.  Leading Change

2.  Developing Others

3.  Fostering Innovation

The most effective method for building these skills is to embed the development within the leaders’ current projects and priorities.

Join us for a lively interactive presentation on developing leaders.
